IN THIS GUIDE
  1. Read the current instructions first
  2. Build an inventory
  3. Protect the contents
  4. Keep the handover clear
  5. Make an inventory before opening a carton
  6. Read the current holder and packing rules
  7. Do a final check against the live form

Read the current instructions first

Use the receiving grader’s current requirements for your exact item and service. PSA’s shipping guide identifies the sleeves, holders, paperwork and packing materials used for its submissions. Do not assume another company uses the same process.

Build an inventory

List each card in submission order and photograph both sides before packing. Keep a copy of the submitted information and the reference number in your own records. Confirm the delivery address from the provider itself.

Protect the contents

Follow the official holder and packing instructions. Keep adhesive away from cards, prevent items moving inside the box and retain the shipping record. This checklist complements the provider’s instructions and does not replace them.

Keep the handover clear

Before sending anything, understand who receives the parcel and how you will receive updates. This website is a reading resource and has no postal address for accepting cards.

Make an inventory before opening a carton

Give each item a clear working reference in your own notebook and photograph its front and back. Match that record to the submission form, then check the order once more. The record should make sense without relying on where a card happens to be sitting on the desk. Keep a copy with your photographs so you can identify the items after they leave your hands.

Read the current holder and packing rules

Use the instructions for the provider and service you selected. PSA’s current card guidance calls for a clear penny sleeve and a semi-rigid holder, and advises against top loaders, tape, pull tabs and sticky notes. Review the complete official instructions before preparing a parcel. A generic packing illustration cannot establish that supplies or a shipping method meet a provider’s requirements.

Do a final check against the live form

Before closing the parcel, compare the item count and sequence with the completed submission. Confirm the current destination and labels from the provider, rather than an old article or saved address. Retain the submission confirmation and transport record with your inventory. If a requirement is unclear, resolve it with the provider before sending the cards.

  • Item count and order match the form.
  • Protection follows the selected provider’s current guidance.
  • Confirmation, photographs and transport details are saved.
